Privacy notice

Machine & Thread collects the information you choose to provide through the contact form: your name, email address, enquiry type, message and an optional page address. A submission date, status and site identifier are stored with the enquiry so it can be answered and managed. If you email us directly, we also receive the information you include in that email.

Why this information is used

Contact details and message content are used only to respond to the enquiry, investigate corrections, handle relevant partnership questions and protect the form from misuse. The site operator relies on legitimate interests to answer and manage messages and on consent where the form specifically asks for it.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve its navigation, content and speed. It reports aggregate measures such as page views, referral sources and loading performance. Cloudflare says this service does not use analytics cookies or fingerprint individual visitors.

Storage and service providers

Form enquiries are stored in an EU-jurisdiction Cloudflare D1 database used by the portfolio that operates this site. Emails sent to [email protected] are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google-hosted inbox. Cloudflare also delivers the website and processes the Web Analytics measurements described above. It may process limited technical request data for security and reliable delivery. Sensitive information should not be sent through the form or by email.

Retention and rights

Messages are kept only as long as needed for the enquiry, record-keeping and abuse prevention. You may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal information connected with your message by using the contact form or emailing [email protected]. Identity may need to be checked before a request is completed.

This notice will be reviewed before the public launch and whenever the site’s data handling changes.
